Intro posts are always weird and a bit hard to write. I am not a new blogger, really. But this blog is for me, so I don’t have to put on my happy face and write nice things just because I know the family is reading.

I am the wife of an alcoholic, who is kind, generous and very compassionate.  Such a shame he loves the drink. He hates loving the drink, and has broken down and cried about it.  But reaches for another drink. He just gets drunk and goes to sleep, so he’s not a nasty drunk. And  he lavishes anything he can on me to make up for it.

I am a mother of two adult children. And I have one grandchild.

I am a cat and dog person. We share our house with three cats and two dogs.

I am, possibly, addicted to the internet. I wish I was a geek but I lack the technical know-how to call myself that.

Why oliveoily? Because I was nicknamed that at school for being so skinny.

So yes, with every word I type, I’ll be thinking and worrying that the people I am talking about will find me. (And if you do – Hello. Yes, this is how I really feel. Suck it up.)

But this won’t be a mostly ranty thing (I hope), I just want to have a ‘normal’ blog where I can do normal blog stuff. So, I’ll take a big breath and jump in!
